About the Business
Canteen by Ramen Daddy operates a busy restaurant specializing in Japanese-style ramen and snacks.
Due to ongoing business demand and growth, we are seeking a full-time Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.
About the Role
The Chef de Partie is a skilled Chef-level role responsible for independently managing a designated kitchen section and supporting daily service operations.
The role reports to the Sous Chef and Head Chef and plays an important part in maintaining food quality, consistency, and efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present menu items in accordance with established recipes and service standards
Independently manage a designated kitchen section during preparation and service periods
Coordinate service timing and workflow within the section
Supervise and support junior kitchen staff, including cooks and apprentices, during shifts
Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation to ensure consistency
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements
Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising food waste
Skills and Experience
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (minimum)
At least 1 year of relevant commercial kitchen experience at Chef level
Ability to work independently during service periods
Strong knowledge of food safety and commercial kitchen operations
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
