St Michael’s College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Manager to lead the stewardship of our physical environment in support of our Lasallian mission. This pivotal role ensures that our campuses reflect the values of faith, service, and community—creating spaces where holistic student development can flourish.
Aligned with Strategic Direction 7 – Finance, Capital Development and Sustainability – the Facilities Manager oversees the College’s open spaces and infrastructure across both campuses. From monitoring asset condition to guiding future refurbishment and development, this role ensures our facilities are safe, efficient, and purposefully designed to support teaching, learning, and well-being.
This role works directly with the Maintenance Supervisor providing inspired leadership for the Maintenance Team fostering a culture of continuous improvement, training and innovation by coordinating day to day operational procedures ensuring, facilities are delivered to the highest standard and taking pride in our grounds.
Reporting and working directly with the Business Manager, the successful applicant will be an integral part of the STEAM Centre and Middle School Centre building projects due to commence in late 2025 liaising with architects, engineers, and consultants.
The successful applicant will manage all essential services statutory requirements, ensuring compliance with all legislative and legal requirements, including Fire Services Catholic Safety Health & Welfare SA and SafeWork SA.
Qualifications an Experience:
Qualifications and relevant experience of an equivalent combination of experience and/or education, trade qualifications, and/or training
Experience in project management and contract administration
Demonstrated experience in overseeing a large facility including services, utilities and contracts
Demonstrated ability to build relationships to generate solutions and create opportunities
Demonstrated experience in supervising, support and providing pastoral care of staff
Experience in leading a team
High-level expertise in communications and computer literacy
Certifications
Current Driver's Licence
Applicable First Aid Certificate relevant to the role requirements
Current and acceptable Working with Children Clearance and screening to work in Catholic Education SA
Current valid Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care certificate
