Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Rail Operations team based in Sydney. Our team specialises in delivering all aspects of Rail, working with technical experts to deliver a high portfolio of work across New South Wales.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver commercial requirements of the project.
* Prepare and submit progress claims and ensure timely payment.
* Advise the project management team on contractual issues and initiate correspondence.
* Prepare, review, and submit reports to prescribed timescales (including equipment and cost reports).
* Review change management opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* You will hold a tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Commercial Law.
* Ideally, you will hold MRICS membership or be working towards membership.
* Hold an intermediate level of experience in a similar role, having worked within large-scale infrastructure, construction, rail, or heavy industrial environments.
* A comprehensive knowledge of contract management principles and practices, program financial management, risk and opportunity management, performance reporting, budget preparation, and administration.
* A high level of technical and negotiation skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills along with your ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
