As a vital member of the operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of water treatment plants and associated networks.
Your key responsibilities will include operating and monitoring plant equipment, processes, and systems, performing regular maintenance tasks to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance, troubleshooting and rectifying equipment/process faults and alarms, collecting water samples for internal and external testing and analysis, and adhering to health, safety, environmental, and quality policies/procedures.
The position requires participation in an on-call roster and working away from home from time to time. Evening and weekend work may be required. To be successful, you will need experience in the maintenance of pumps, pipelines, instruments, and other mechanical equipment, knowledge of water treatment engineering practices, and the ability to liaise and form working relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
