 
        
        About Our Fire Suppression Role
We are seeking experienced professionals to join our CQ team on a fly-in, fly-out basis from Brisbane. This role includes both float and site-embedded positions, supporting open-cut mine sites within the Bowen Basin.
As a fire suppression specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and maintaining critical portable fire equipment, fire detection, and suppression systems.
This is a hands-on role that operates on a 7-on, 7-off roster with 11-hour shifts, including flights between Brisbane and Mackay and a daily tax-free meal allowance.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Sound knowledge of Australian Standards (including AS1851 -2012)
Experience or willingness to learn in suppression or portables fire equipment
Excellent workmanship, reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork ability
A high standard of safety and commitment to continual improvement
Ability to work independently with strong communication and customer service skills
Manual Driver's Licence
Desirable qualifications:
 * Current Standard 11
 * Current Section 4 Medical
 * Work at Heights Certification
 * Confined Spaces Certification
 * Provide First Aid Certification
 * QBCC Licence
