The Role
Jobs and Skills Australia is an independent agency, responsible for providing advice to the Australian Government to improve Australia's response to current, emerging, and future labour market and workforce skills and training needs.

The team you will be working in undertakes the Recruitment Experiences and Outlook Survey (REOS). The survey examines employers' recruitment activities, outcomes, expectations, and needs. The survey is conducted in-house with a team of interviewers responsible for calling businesses to respond to the survey.

The results from the survey are presented in reports which are published on the Jobs and Skills Australia website.

Duties And Responsibilities
Labour Market Interview Officers conduct employer surveys to gather information from employers about their recruitment experiences.

Reporting to the Call Centre Supervisor, Labour Market Interview Officers are responsible for:

* Conducting telephone interviews with Australian employers using a set questionnaire script.
* Recording high quality data.
* Completing ad hoc survey tasks as required: coding data, cross-checking samples, meeting minutes, etc.

Skills Required For The Role

* Oral communication skills of a high order to engage employers to participate in the survey.
* Ability to manage your time and other ad hoc tasks.
* Achieve call rates to ensure the survey program is delivered to a high quality.
* Uphold the APS code of conduct.
* Ability to work in a team environment and be supportive to other staff in the branch.
