Freight Coordinator Role Summary
The Freight Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the timely transportation of finished goods from customers nationwide.
As the primary point of contact for freight partners, you will be responsible for resolving issues and maintaining strong relationships with external courier and freight service providers.
This position requires a high level of organisation, attention to detail, and effective communication skills to support the logistics team efficiently and safely.
The successful candidate will work full-time on-site at our Karawatha facility in Brisbane, working Tuesday to Saturday, 6am-2pm.
* Coordinate deliveries across long haul and air freight to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that arise during transportation.
* Manage dispatch from our Brisbane site, adhering to required procedures and checks to identify and mitigate risks.
* Update freight partners on company changes, reminders, and regulations that require their attention.
* Oversee daily movement management, monthly stocktake, and inventory reporting to support business operations.
* Collaborate with production and shopping departments to ensure smooth site operations.
* Maintain accurate and timely updates of the account and facilitate cross-departmental coordination for pallet tracking and inventory control.
* Meet schedules and timelines, as well as adapt to flexible work arrangements including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Experience in logistics outbound/supply chain coordination or a similar role, preferably with 2+ years of experience.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing operational requirements.
* Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes is recommended.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
* A collaborative attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines are necessary.
