Finance Manager
An established and esteemed recreational club located on the Mornington Peninsula is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for an immediate-start temporary assignment. This is a hands‐on role supporting business‐as‐usual finance operations during a period of transition. Reporting to senior leadership, you'll take ownership of the day‐to‐day finance function, ensuring continuity, accuracy, and reliable reporting across the contract period.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage month‐end close, journals, accruals, and balance sheet integrity
* Prepare management reports, budgets, forecasts, and cashflow updates
* Ensure compliance with statutory obligations (BAS, GST, payroll tax, etc.)
* Act as a key finance contact for internal stakeholders and external advisors
* Oversee end‐to‐end finance operations, including AP, AR, payroll oversight, and reconciliations
* Provide practical, hands‐on support to the broader administration team as needed
About You
* Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role
* Strong technical accounting skills with a practical, roll‐up‐your‐sleeves approach
* Comfortable working onsite in a small to mid‐sized organisation
* Able to step in quickly, work autonomously, and add value from day one
* Experience in hospitality, leisure, clubs, or member‐based organisations will be highly regarded
* Available to start immediately or at short notice
