Y Schools Queensland Junior Logan Campus are recruiting a Teacher on a Permanent Full-Time basis to join our team based in Kingston.
What will my time look like?
* Delivering academic and wellbeing programs to students.
* Support the delivery of vocational training programs offered to students.
* Support the Head of Campus/School in operating the campus to achieve educational, wellbeing and vocational objectives.
* Create a nurturing and supportive learning environment that is learner‐focused, safe, supportive and aligned to the curriculum.
* Collaborate with peers to plan, write and deliver structured lessons that differentiate and personalise learning for each student.
* Assess and provide meaningful and supportive feedback and report on student learning.
* Support young people with diverse learning and support needs, including disabilities, behavioural challenges, ASD, ADHD/ADD, and mental health needs.
* Support our young people to know success!
Am I a good match?
* Hold a relevant university degree, current Queensland College of Teachers registration.
* First Aid Certificate and CPR qualifications.
* Apply appropriate knowledge to plan and prepare teaching and learning programs for students who are at risk of disengaging from education.
* Implement effective, inclusive teaching practices, including the use of learning technologies and assessment, to create a supportive environment where students reach their full potential.
* Communicate effectively with students using strong interpersonal skills and implement behaviour management strategies that support a positive and inclusive learning environment.
