Support Teaching and Learning
The SMYL Community College is a school that caters specifically for students who have disengaged from mainstream education. Our alternative education program provides a supportive environment for students aged 12 to 18, helping them re-engage in their studies.
We are seeking an experienced Education Assistant to work with at-risk students, providing individualized support and assistance in small groups and one-to-one settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contributing to the maintenance of a safe and engaging learning environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate IV in Education Support or equivalent, as well as a current Working with Children Check. They will be expected to collaborate with teachers and trainers to plan effective teaching and learning, contribute to assessment and reporting on student progress, and engage in professional development opportunities.
* Key Responsibilities:
