The Automation Test Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, performance and accessibility of the Export Market Development Grants applications as well a high-profile digital service supporting Australian exporters.
The role involves designing, building and maintaining both automated and manual test frameworks to validate the functionality, performance and accessibility of the platforms.
The successful candidate will work closely with developers, designers, product manager and content specialists to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
Role
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive test strategy covering functional, performance and accessibility testing
* Define and implement automated and manual test processes aligned with agile development practices
* Design, build and maintain automation test frameworks using industry standard tools (e.g. Selenium, Katalon)
* Develop and maintain API, UI and integration test scripts to ensure end-to end quality
* Implement continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable delivery
* Conduct manual testing and exploratory testing
* Validate business requirements and user stories to ensure alignment with delivered functionality
* Conduct accessibility testing to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1AA standards and ensure a consistent user experience
* Performance testing: Develop and execute performance tests to assess system scalability and responsiveness
* Execute test plans and regression suites to ensure high quality releases
* Provide clear and actionable test reports to stakeholders, highlighting risks and quality metrics
Essential Experience
* 5+ years of current experience in manual and automation testing
* Designing, establishing and maintaining automation frameworks and scripts from the ground up within agreed timeframes utilizing various automation tools
* Test management tools to create and manage test plans, test cases, defects and tasks associated with raising and resolving defects through to resolution
* Test automation tools and practices (e.g., Microsoft Visual Studio, Katalon, ACCELQ, Selenium, BDD tools)
* Implementing, building and running the automated test scripts on Azure continuous integration (CI) pipelines and report automated test results,
* Testing web and desktop applications, infrastructure (hardware, networks, software upgrades)
* Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Dynamics 365 CRM
* HTML, XML, .Net, C#, Java Script, Java, Groovy, Waterfall, Agile/SCRUM methodologies and DevOps principles
* Review manual test cases and translate them into automated test scripts
* Improve existing automation testing scripts/framework
