**Role Summary**:
The Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure and equipment at our supported accommodations is well maintained and presented. The role ensures compliance with all appropriate regulations and plays a key role in guaranteeing a safe environment for both clients and staff.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Undertaking general building maintenance including repairing furniture, doors, locks, curtains, lights, sinks, toilets and other equipment
- Undertaking minor painting works
- Collecting building and maintenance materials as required
- Undertaking scheduled maintenance as well as urgent repairs
- Moving furniture as required
- Minimal garden pruning and weeding as required (including spraying weeds with chemicals)
- Ensuring that houses are well presented at all times through regular inspections
**This role is being hired on a permanent full-time basis and works across our properties in the East Region of Perth. A work vehicle and all required tools are also supplied as part of this position!**
**Skills, Attributes and Experience**:
- Must hold a valid C class driver's licence and be comfortable to tow
- Ability to perform basic building & equipment maintenance, painting & handyman duties
- Knowledge and ability to operate various tools used in building and equipment maintenance
- Ability to use, monitor and repair tools/equipment to ensure safe use
- Ability to adjust and/or repair faulty/broken equipment
- Read, interpret, and work from plans, drawings, and specifications
