Click here to learn more about our Network Additional Information We are seeking a highly motivated Administrative Assistant, that will provide a professional standard of administrative support regarding Patient Safety, Patient Experience, Quality Improvement, Accreditation and Policy portfolios of the Clinical Governance Unit. This is a full time, temporary role backfill role 'till Feb 2026, that will directly supports the Director of Safety, Quality and Governance and the day to day running of the Clinical Governance Unit. What you'll be doing This Level 3 Administration Officer is predominantly responsible for the day-to-day clerical functions within the Clinical Governance Unit (CGU) at The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (SCHN). This position requires an experienced person with highly developed customer service skills, sound decision and time-management skills, problem solving and organisational skills. This position will work collaboratively with the other members of the administration team to ensure a quality frontline service and comprehensive administrative support to the Clinical Governance Unit team. The Administrative Officer provides support to the team, by managing administrative tasks and processes related to patient safety, quality improvement, patient and family engagement, policy & procedure, and SCHN legal services. This role is involved in managing databases, handling communications, and supporting the team in achieving clinical quality and safety standards. The role requires customer service experience with the ability to demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence and an understanding of policies and procedures within NSW Health and how these apply in the workplace particularly, the importance of patient confidentiality. Demonstrated excellent administration experience, preferably in healthcare, or customer service industry. Excellent communication skills, including accurate spelling, good comprehension, good verbal skills and the ability to deal courteously with people at all levels and have a professional telephone manner, with face-to-face customer service skills. Recognised organisational skills with proven ability to prioritise duties and demonstrated flexibility to adjust workflow to ensure high quality outcomes and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. Demonstrated experience working effectively independently and within a team environment. Understanding of the work processes within the Clinical Governance Unit, to provide appropriate support. Excellent computer and data entry skills. Attention to detail with experience using Microsoft Office suite, including TEAMS, Word, Excel and Outlook. Preferably have experience in Content Manager (Trim). Proven ability to learn, or relevant experience with navigating various databases and scheduling systems.
