We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Equipment Operator to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate precision agriculture equipment, tractors, and machinery on large-scale farming operations.
* Perform seeding, spraying, fertilizing, and harvesting activities, ensuring optimal crop yields and quality.
* Run and maintain center pivot irrigation systems, minimizing water waste and optimizing resource utilization.
* Conduct daily machinery checks, minor servicing, and accurate record-keeping, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
* Assist with general farm duties, including equipment maintenance, repairs, and transportation.
Requirements
* Certification in a relevant field (e.g., agriculture, mechanical engineering) and at least one year of experience or two years' full-time work experience.
* Current driver's license and ability to drive manual vehicles, ensuring safe transportation of personnel and equipment.
* ChemCert qualifications (preferred) for handling chemicals and maintaining a safe working environment.
* Experience operating modern broadacre or horticultural machinery, with a strong understanding of its mechanics and operation.
* Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor issues, reducing downtime and improving overall efficiency.
* Irrigation experience, particularly with center pivots, is highly valued for effective water management.
* Strong communication, reliability, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
