St Augustine's Catholic College, Cairns
Our Catholic college has been specialising in boys education since 1930 and is part of the worldwide network of Marist schools. This year we are celebrating the 150th anniversary of Marist education in Australia.
Our approach is based on the educational philosophy of our French founder, St Marcellin Champagnat (1789-1840). At the heart of everything we do are five characteristics that embody his approach: presence, family spirit, simplicity, a love of work all done in the way of Mary, the mother of Jesus. We are a community where Jesus is known and loved, where each boy belongs and the dignity of all is respected.
