AAMG is currently seeking an experienced Industrial Spray Painter to join the team at the Darra Workshop. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for the preparation and spray painting of mining equipment components. You will work both independently and collaboratively within a workshop environment.
Location: Darra
Shift: Afternoon shift
Employment: Monday to Friday
About the Role:
* Preparation and spray painting of mining equipment components (small and large)
* Apply primers, topcoats, rust protection and final finishes to specification
* Prepare surfaces through cleaning, masking, blasting coordination and coating preparation
* Work within spray booths and designated paint areas to ensure correct containment
* Maintain high safety standards, including correct use of PPE, ventilation and exposure controls
* Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe and compliant with WHS requirements
To be Successful in This Role, You Will Have:
* Relevant Trade Certification
* Previous experience spray painting industrial or mining equipment components
* Strong knowledge of surface preparation and coating applications
* Ability to work with a range of component sizes and finishes
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* A strong safety mindset and understanding of WHS requirements
* Forklift and dogman ticket (advantageous)
