headspace Coffs Harbour
headspace Coffs Harbour is a program of Health Voyage. headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds, along with assistance in promoting young peoples' wellbeing ). This is achieved through the Federal Government's funding of headspace services throughout Australia through North Coast Primary Health Program (Healthy North Coast).
We offer support across four key areas: mental health, physical and sexual health, alcohol and other drugs, and work and study. Our centres create a safe, inclusive environment where young people can access help when they need it most. By working in partnership with families, schools, and communities, headspace aims to reduce barriers to care and improve the wellbeing of young people.
Centre Manager – headspace Coffs Harbour
Full-time or Part-time (0.8 FTE) | Start late January 2026
We're looking for a dynamic Centre Manager to lead headspace Coffs Harbour. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, their families, and our community.
Lead a passionate team dedicated to improving the mental health and wellbeing of young people aged 12–25. As Centre Manager, you'll oversee daily operations, drive service excellence, and foster strong community partnerships. This role requires leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to creating a safe, inclusive space for youth.
What you'll do
* Lead with compassion, integrity, respect and ethical practice.
* Work collaboratively with leaders within the service to nurture an environment of trust, inclusion and respect.
* Manage a passionate multidisciplinary team and foster a positive, productive workplace.
* Ensure compliance with quality standards and funding requirements.
* Manage operations, recruitment, and staff development.
* Build relationships with stakeholders and local communities.
* Monitor performance and implement continuous improvement.
* Represent headspace in the community through events and engagement.
Ideal Candidate
* Experienced leader in health or community services.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Passionate about youth mental health and early intervention.
What we're looking for:
* Degree-qualified with extensive management experience in health, community services, or related fields.
* Skilled in leading teams, strategic planning, and operational management.
* Experience in youth mental health or allied health settings.
* Strong understanding of the Australian health system and local community needs.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable: Postgraduate qualifications in business or health services management, experience in the not-for-profit sector.
