Maintenance Supervisor Role
This position oversees maintenance requirements to optimise efficiency and maximise aircraft availability.
You will coordinate the timely rectification and/or maintenance required for return to service of delayed aircraft. You will also manage the supply chain for afterhours Aircraft-On-Ground parts as needed, including monitoring operational critical defect requisitions to maximise aircraft availability.
As a key contact point for aircrew technical support, you will advise Fleet Services Manager and Aircraft Operations Centre in a timely manner where defect rectification will impact the flight schedule estimated return to service.
The role requires regular daily checks on current deferred defects, ensuring corrective action is planned and completed. This includes identifying reliability issues and working to implement solutions.
You will be responsible for managing Minimum Equipment List extensions, Permissible Unserviceabilities and special flight permits, communicating the outcome to relevant stakeholders.
Your expertise will be used to interpret regulations and processes to provide advice on methods to manage the development and incorporation of non-standard repairs and modifications.
In this capacity, you will liaise with stakeholders to plan the appropriate timeframe for work to be completed, taking into account planned flight schedules.
Aircraft ferry flights outside of normal working hours will require your authorisation following consultation with Continuing Airworthiness Manager and Flight Operations as necessary.
To ensure a high level of engineering and safety standards, you will develop and maintain a strong working relationship with all relevant stakeholders.
A minimum of Diploma in Aeroskills or equivalent and a minimum of two years' experience as a B1 or B2 AME working on various Turboprop or Jet aircraft types are essential requirements.
You should have knowledge of CAMO and AMP expositions and manual suites, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication and time management skills are necessary for this role.
A valid ASIC and Australian Driver's license are also required.
