As a Community Carer, you will play a vital role in supporting older individuals and those with disabilities to maintain their independence at home by providing exceptional care and services. Located in the picturesque City of Sale, just 215 km east of Melbourne, Sale offers access to the stunning Gippsland Lakes, 90 Mile Beach, and the Victorian Alps. CGH provides acute care across Wellington Shire through an integrated service delivery model. Our services span three campuses (Sale, Maffra, and Heyfield) and include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, operating theatres, oncology, dialysis, and sub-acute services like rehabilitation. As a leading teaching hospital, CGH is affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health, offering placements and clinical experience for students. In addition to acute care, CGH supports the Wellington Shire community with in-home support services, prioritizing client-centered care to help individuals achieve their personal goals. Duties: Assisting clients with domestic assistance which includes cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors; ironing and washing clothes; moving light furniture; bed making; and assistance with meal preparation Provide personal care including assistance with showering, bathing, dressing/undressing, toileting, grooming; assisting with medications, eating and drinking; transporting Provide respite care in the client's home or other appropriate setting Provide accompanied activities to support client in maintaining social connections including shopping, group activities, community outings Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: Certificate III or Certificate IV in Community Services/Individual Support (or working towards relevant qualifications) Current Victorian Driver's license and access to own vehicle (travel allowance provided). Working With Children Check NDIS Worker Check Clearance. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential. Benefits: Salary Packaging options available.
