So, what's the role?
As our HR Generalist, you'll work closely with leaders and staff across the business—focusing particularly on our new Murray Bridge factory while also supporting our wider operations. You'll cover the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to training, development, and performance reviews, while also driving safety, compliance and people initiatives. This is an autonomous role where you'll have the chance to establish new systems, create efficiencies, and shape HR processes that will support Golden North for years to come.
Here's what a typical week might look like:
* Working closely with managers on recruitment while overseeing onboarding, induction, and offboarding processes
* Managing IR/ER matters and providing practical advice and support to managers
* Reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures
* Driving health, safety and compliance initiatives across the business
* Supporting employee growth through targeted training, development and upskilling opportunities
* Partnering with the leadership team to provide practical HR advice and guidance
* Setting up systems and processes to streamline HR operations and support growth

You might be our next HR Generalist if you:
* Bring proven experience in an HR Generalist or similar role - ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting
* Have strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, legislation and contemporary HR practices
* Are confident working both strategically with leaders and practically with employees on the ground
* Understand compliance and WHS requirements and can apply them in a pragmatic, people-focused way
* Enjoy working autonomously while still being a strong team player
* Are adaptable and ready to evolve with a business that's growing and changing
* Like the idea of making a real impact in a role where you can build systems and processes from the ground up
