Job Title: Maintenance Officer
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive maintenance professional to join our team. As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the site is well-maintained, safe, and comfortable for our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and fixing equipment.
* Keep the grounds looking fantastic by mowing, pruning, and maintaining gardens.
* Coordinate with contractors and provide guidance to other team members and volunteers as needed.
* Stay on top of scheduled maintenance plans using our asset management system.
Requirements:
* A trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
* Knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements or ability to acquire within one month of employment.
* 12 months' experience in a handyman/maintenance role.
* Experience in property maintenance, either in aged care, community housing, or a similar environment.
* Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Outlook and Internet Explorer.
