Job Title: Senior Payroll Administrator
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll services across the group, ensuring compliance with national legislative requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Review and process weekly and monthly staff timesheets.
* Manage the processing and verification of weekly and fortnightly payroll.
* Prepare financial summaries for long-term and permanent leavers.
* Ensure timely payment of all payroll-related creditors and process associated transactions.
* Maintain compliance with national legislative requirements including PAYG Withholding, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, Long Service Leave, Redundancy Schemes, Child Support, and Services Australia obligations.
* Process all statutory obligations, including PAYG, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, Long Service Leave, and Redundancy Scheme contributions.
* Perform monthly reconciliations of payroll-related general ledger accounts.
* Provide guidance and mentoring to payroll team members on processes and tasks.
* Develop and maintain system process documentation for payroll functions, ensuring appropriate controls are identified and implemented.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the payroll function by working closely with the Payroll Manager and Group Financial Controller to identify process efficiencies and enhancements.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in payroll.
* Good knowledge of payroll operations, legislation, and compliance requirements.
* Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
* Outstanding communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the business.
* Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while consistently meeting deadlines.
