Position Information
Moorebank High School is a dynamic partially selective and comprehensive high school situated in southwest Sydney. The school has 1,024 students with 1% of students from an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background and 78% of students from a language background other than English. In 2021 Moorebank High School established a support unit with three autism support classes. The school is committed to extending its students through excellence in teaching and learning and collaboration with its partner primary schools and other comprehensive and selective high schools. Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach Science Years 7 to 10, Stage 6 Biology and Stage 6 Chemistry. Demonstrated capacity to implement effective explicit teaching and contribute to differentiated teaching and learning programs to maximise student growth and promote high expectations for all students. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive working relationship to improve student learning. Capacity to design and deliver innovative, differentiated, and inclusive programmes for a diverse range of student learning needs in a science classroom.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
