Watts & Co Projects is an award-winning, family-owned building company specialising in high-end, client-focused residential renovations, heritage restorations, extensions and premium bathroom projects across Tasmania.
We are seeking a highly competent, experienced Builder / Carpenter with proven capability in residential renovations and structural alterations. This role suits someone confident working both in a team environment and independently, problem-solving on site, and delivering refined finishes. It is not an entry-level or apprenticeship position.
About the Role / Key Responsibilities
* Residential renovations (new & heritage homes)
* Extensions and structural alterations
* High-end bathroom and laundry renovations
* Interpreting plans and specifications
* Coordinating with subcontractors and trades
* Maintaining site safety and compliance
* Ensuring high standards of workmanship
* Working closely within a small, professional team
* Direct interaction with clients on occasion
What We Are Looking For
* Cert IV in Building & Construction (or Minimum 5+ years residential carpentry experience)
* Demonstrated renovation and structural experience
* Solid understanding of NCC requirements
* Confident reading plans and working independently
* High attention to detail and pride in your finish
* Reliable, proactive, and professional
* Strong communication skills
