Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team at Indie School. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students aged 15-18 who have struggled with mainstream schooling.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment. They will be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for students.
The role is fixed-term, commencing in January 2026 and ending in December 2026. The successful applicant will be required to provide a National Police Check and hold a current VIT registration (VIC).
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality education to students aged 15-18 who have struggled with mainstream schooling
* Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to each student's needs
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for students
* Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment
* Contribute to the development of curriculum and programs that meet the needs of students
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
Essential:
* Registered teacher qualification (primary or secondary)
* Current VIT registration (VIC)
* National Police Check issued within the three months prior to the offer, and annually thereafter
Desirable:
* Experience working with students who have disabilities, behavioural disturbances, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, low levels of literacy/numeracy, and mental illness
* Knowledge of VIC curricula (F-10)
