Your days will be hands-on and varied, drawing on your trade skills and practical know-how to support the smooth operation of our sites.In this role, you will:Carry out general maintenance and repair work using your trade skillsComplete tasks such as repairs, installations, cleaning, and minor fixesMaintain grounds through pruning, fertilising and garden waste removalFollow the preventative maintenance schedule to keep facilities in top conditionSupport and guide contractors, staff, and volunteers, including providing training when requiredKeep accurate records and update the asset management systemThis role is perfect for someone who loves variety, takes pride in their work, and enjoys contributing to a supportive community environment.About YouOur ideal candidate has:Current First Aid and CPR certificatesKnowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements, or ability to obtain within one monthCurrent driver's licenceMinimum 12 months' experience in a handyman or maintenance roleRelevant trade qualification (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, electrical) (desirable)Experience using a computer-based asset management system (e.g. HardCat) (desirable)Experience in the aged care or community services sector (desirable)Hold valid Australian Work Rights - Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsorImportantly, you will be someone who closely aligns with our organisational values of: Integrity, Compassion, Excellence and Courage.About UsWe are one of Australia's largest and most diverse not-for-profit organisations, with a legacy of care and compassion spanning over 140 years.
