Description
* Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
* Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
* Maintain the integrity of general ledger accounts and ensure proper documentation.
* Assist in the preparation of tax filings and statutory reporting requirements.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and analysis.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency.
* Support audits by providing required documentation and responding to queries.
* Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Profile
A successful Accounting & Reporting Specialist should have:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Be studying towards or a qualified CPA or CA candidate
* Proven experience in financial reporting or general ledger accounting.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and meet tight deadlines.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Experience in the retail industry is highly regarded.
