 
        
        An exciting opportunity has arisen for a **Technical Solution Design Manager **to join our _Diagnostics_ business. 
- This role is based in Macquarie Park. _
Reporting to the _Enterprise Solutions Director_, this role will provide the ANZ Technical Solution Design (TSD) team with leadership, direction and resources to ensure increased success in opportunity outcomes through effective strategic account planning and impactful customer engagement.
The TSD Manager plays a vital role in building TSD capability, aligning required resources and gaining support of activities determined through Key Opportunity Planning.
**Your responsibilities include (and not limited to)**: 
**Upstream** 
- Support the achievement of Acquisition (& Renewal) sales and profitability targets and achieve targeted opportunity close KPIs. 
- Forecast and report on key opportunities
**Downstream** 
- Participate in strategic sales planning and the execution of agreed activities in targeted opportunities 
- Be the champion of building Area level TSD capability in Abbott tools for uncovering customer insights and needs, building impactful solutions and measuring their proposed impact 
- Drive the development of the proposed solution and assist with the sales strategy for targeted opportunities 
- Build technical solutions and design expertise for Abbott Automation, Alinity (analysers) and AlinIQ (informatics) across the APAC TSD teams 
- Lead the Area TSD team to support the achievement of key prospect targets 
- Build the ANZ TSD capability to position the value of Abbotts solution 
- Contribute with in depth laboratory, analytical and automation systems, workflow and IT knowledge 
- Coach the TSD team and manage ongoing skill and knowledge development 
- Work with marketing to gather and communicate competitor information (TSD focus responsibilities) from region and disseminate for use in opportunity strategies 
- Provide country support for escalation of technical solution design questions and escalated support for responses to tender replies 
- Diploma or degree or equivalent in a clinical diagnostic, healthcare, operational engineering / design discipline 
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a laboratory and/or a successful commercial experience 
- Preferred experience in the IACC/Haematology/Automation disciplines 
- Leadership & Team management experience 
- Successful completion of Strategic Selling and Negotiation Courses is desired
