Are you passionate about digital storytelling and community engagement? We're seeking a dynamic
Digital Media Officer
to join our Corporate Communications and Marketing team for a temporary appointment until May 2026.
About This Opportunity
As the Digital Media Officer, you will play a key role in developing and delivering innovative digital communication and social media campaigns. You'll work under general directionto provide strategic advice and hands-on support to internal stakeholders, helping shape the Council's digital presence.
Key Responsibilities
* Create, manage, and evaluate social media campaigns and content.
* Maintain and update corporate website content.
* Respond to public queries and comments on social media platforms.
* Produce eNewsletters and eMarketing communications.
* Provide training and support for website and social media use.
* Analyse social media performance and recommend improvements.
* Maintain and enhance chatbot conversations.
* Contribute to operational process reviews and improvements.
* Ensure tasks are completed in line with SLAs and Council standards.
* Promote a safe, healthy, and inclusive workplace culture.
About You
You're a creative and collaborative communicator with a passion for digital engagement. You bring initiative, adaptability, and a strong understanding of online platforms to help shape Council's digital presence.

Qualifications
* A degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism—or a related field that fuels your creativity.
* You know your way around social media—planning, posting, and engaging with purpose.
* You've managed website content and understand how to keep it fresh and user-friendly.
* You're a natural organiser—juggling tasks and timelines with ease.
* You build strong connections, whether it's with colleagues or the community.
* You're always looking for smarter ways to work and improve processes.
Nice-to-Haves
* A creative eye for video and photography.
* Familiarity with tools like InDesign, Photoshop, and Google Analytics.
* A QLD "C" Class Driver's Licence

Eligibility
