The Manildra Group is a major force in Australia's agricultural and food manufacturing industries. As the country's largest user of wheat for industrial purposes and the sole refiner of the entire New South Wales sugar crop, Manildra is a trusted supplier of high‑quality raw ingredients to the food, beverage, confectionery and paper sectors.
We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to join our team at our Bomaderry site on the NSW South Coast. Reporting to the QA Coordinator, this role plays a key part in maintaining and continuously improving our quality systems to ensure customer requirements are not only met but exceeded. You'll be supported by a dedicated and professional Quality team and will provide specialist advice across the site.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the ongoing maintenance and improvement of site certifications including ISO9001, ISO17025, HACCP, SQF, Halal, Kosher, FeedSafe, and the Export Quality System Recognition (QSR) program
* Coordinate and conduct internal audit programs, supplier non-conformance investigations, and customer complaint reviews
* Liaise closely with site management on quality, environmental and compliance matters
* Assist in developing and monitoring quality assurance systems, including the creation and review of policies and procedures
* Support the development, delivery and implementation of quality system training
About You
To thrive in this role, you will have:
* A relevant qualification such as Food Science (degree preferred) or extensive industry experience, plus Lead/Internal Auditor and SQF/HACCP training
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and systems including HACCP, ISO, SQF and GMP
* Proven experience coordinating internal and external audits
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
* Strong communication skills and sound computer literacy
* The ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
