The Role

The Project Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the project team to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of projects. This position is responsible for coordinating key activities, including the preparation of project-specific safety, access, and other required documentation; scheduling resources; instructing contractors; overseeing site works and delivery; monitoring performance; facilitating stakeholder communication; and managing internal project controls and administration.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

* Ensuring safe and efficient delivery including managing works to meet client expectations and industry / regulated safety and technical standards
* Development of project briefs, schedules and management plans
* Managing project to deliverables including by project coordination, scheduling and administration
* Preparation of project documentation including safety management plans, access requests and other project specific documents
* Internal reporting and job management
* Stakeholder communication within boundaries of the projects
* Supervising of project activities
* Management of project contractors

Skills and Experience

* Qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a similar field (desirable but not essential)
* Current driver’s license
* Proven experience in a project administration or coordination role
* Knowledge of Rail Standards, requirements and processes (desirable but not essential)
* Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
* Communicates technical concepts in a clear manner
* Strong written communication skills including report writing
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
* Detail-orientated with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
