About the Role:
As an
Assistant Accountant
, you'll play a key role in supporting our accountants and partners across a broad range of client work. This is an excellent opportunity for someone pursuing a career in public practice who thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies
* Communicate with clients regarding documentation and queries
* Stay up to date with relevant tax legislation and compliance changes
* Provide support to senior accountants and partners as needed
What We're Looking For:
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting (completed or near completion)
* Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, APS, or similar
* Strong understanding of accounting and taxation principles
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work as part of a close-knit team
