Senior Accountant – Business Advisory

Take the next step in your career with a nationally recognised mid-tier firm that values expertise, collaboration, and growth. We're looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Melbourne-based team, providing end-to-end business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients.
As a member of the division, you'll be involved in complex financial information, strategic advisory work, and ensuring compliance for clients. You'll play a vital role in shaping outcomes for clients while developing your skills within one of Australia's top accounting and advisory firms.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of financial statements in line with accounting standards.
- Apply knowledge of client operations, firm practices, industry trends, and emerging issues.
- Prepare clear and well-structured work papers to document work performed.
- Review financial statements and management accounts, ensuring accuracy by eliminating errors in addition, referencing, and formatting.
- Assist in identifying potential accounting issues.
- Apply fundamental tax compliance processes.
- Prepare income tax returns for clients
- Complete all necessary regulatory forms accurately.
Experience
- Business or Commerce degree with an Accounting Major (or similar)
- 2-4 years working in a similar position
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- CA/CPA Qualification (Or nearly completed)
