This role is responsible for delivering the Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program, which involves planning and coordinating activities to ensure success. The position requires recruiting, supporting, and engaging program participants, mentoring them to develop employability skills that drive employment outcomes.
The program focuses on addressing barriers such as travel, literacy, and access to local employer networks, leading to higher employment participation, increased education, better access to services, and socioeconomic gains for individuals and communities.
Key Responsibilities
* Mentoring program participants to develop employability skills.
* Liaising with government departments and community organizations to ensure successful program delivery.
* Business development with employers and providing training and assessment as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Qualifications in Training and Assessment, Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability Work, or Community Services.
* Experience in delivering government-funded programs such as Skilling Queenslanders for Work or similar.
* Coordination experience, preferably working with vulnerable populations.
* Cultural understanding of CALD communities and their support needs.
