- Ensure all buildings and facilities under the management of Geelong Arts Centre are kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal/external stakeholders at GAC, including efficient first response for cleaning.
- Understand and adopt Geelong Arts Centre values in all areas of work.
**Description**:
KEY R ESP O N S I B I L I T I ES
People and teams
- Build and maintain cooperative working relationships with Centre staff and external cleaning contractors.
- Be an active part of the Facilities team, including attending all team meetings and training.
Cleaning
- General cleaning of the Geelong Arts Centre properties in line with the relevant tasks within the Daily Cleaning Tasks QR code appropriate to the shift.
- Awareness of and adherence to safe working practices relevant to the role and tasks performed.
- Carry out scheduled and ad-hoc cleaning as requested by the Facilities Helpdesk within the requested timeframes.
- Report on consumables requiring ordering, bin collections, or other issues to the Facilities team upon completion of every shift; either via the QR code messages or verbally.
**Skills and Experiences**:
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential
- Basic QR code end of shift reporting, or ability to be trained
- Good customer service skill
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable
- Recent cleaning experience in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of MSDS, general OHS requirements for secure cleaning
- Experience working in an Arts and/or Government organisation or event cleaning
Personal attributes
- Ability to complete daily tasks with calmness and professionalism
- A team player who encourages others and engages collaboratively with team members, leaders and peers to meet objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to complete required work within set timelines.
- High level attention to detail and accuracy.
