You'll be joining a major NSW public sector program responsible for delivering large‑scale technology transformation initiatives. Manage a portfolio of contracts across the Major Programs Delivery portfolio, delivering value for money to the customer.
Your new role
As the
Senior Commercial Manager
, you will oversee a portfolio of
ICT contracts
, ensuring performance, governance and value‑for‑money outcomes across major technology programs. You will lead procurement
sourcing
activities, manage
vendor negotiations
, and provide strategic
commercial guidance
to senior leaders. The role combines stakeholder engagement, financial oversight and risk management to support successful delivery of program objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Manage end‑to‑end contract lifecycles, ensuring compliance with internal
procurement
, commercial and governance standards.
* Lead sourcing
initiatives for new products, services and managed service engagements.
* Partner with internal teams to support business case development, funding requirements, evaluation processes and service level agreements.
* Build strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
* Monitor performance against KPIs, manage service credits.
* Oversee commercial and procurement‑related risk management.
* Develop financial models, forecasts and variance reports to support informed decision‑making by senior leadership.
* Establish frameworks and evaluation standards for commercial and procurement activities across the wider program.
* Provide clear reporting, insights and commercial recommendations to project teams and executive stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
* Strong background managing large and
complex ICT contracts
across sourcing, negotiation, performance and compliance.
* Proven ability to build strategic relationships with senior stakeholders and external suppliers.
* Skilled in
contract management framework
s, dispute resolution and performance auditing.
* Experience developing financial models within major ICT or transformation programs.
* Familiarity with
NSW government
or regulated procurement processes and standards.
* Ability to manage competing priorities, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
