Clinical Nurse Specialist - Infection Control
About this role:
Our organisation is seeking a Clinical Nurse – Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) and Disease Prevention and Control professional to join our multidisciplinary team in the Pilbara region.
This is a part-time appointment, working 40 hours per fortnight, with opportunities for extension and potential permanency.
About This Role
The Clinical Nurse - Infection Prevention & Control (IP&C) and Disease Prevention and Control (DPC) will be responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating infection prevention and control programs across WACHS Pilbara.
* The successful candidate will provide clinical advisory services for IPC and DPC to all health services within WACHS Pilbara and support the implementation of relevant policies, guidelines, standards, legislation, and priorities.
To succeed, you will need;
* Eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Demonstrated ability to apply relevant standards, legislation, and policies related to IPC and DPC practice.
* Expertise and experience in IPC and DPC with theoretical knowledge applied in clinical practice and research.
* Effective communication and leadership skills, including leading change and collaborative engagement with multidisciplinary staff.
* Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating IPC and DPC programs, incorporating risk management and quality improvement strategies.
* Computer literacy and ability to utilise information systems effectively.
