Residential Support Worker Job Description
This role is for a dedicated and compassionate individual who will provide person-centered support to clients in residential homes across the Colac region. The successful candidate will be responsible for encouraging clients to become self-sufficient and lead fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Team Leaders: Develop and implement Person-Centred Plans (PCPs) to promote independent living skills through formal and informal teaching methods.
* Assist Clients with Daily Living Activities: Support clients with medication management, personal hygiene, food preparation, dressing, and mealtime activities while maintaining professional integrity and confidentiality.
* Maintain Accurate Records: Record medical, behavioural, and financial documentation according to guidelines and ensure the collection and storage of receipts when handling resident funds.
* Complete Administrative Tasks: Complete payroll, compliance reports, and client procedural paperwork in a timely and accurate manner following genU policies, procedures, and WHS standards.
Requirements:
* Certificate III or IV in Disability
* Current Victorian Drivers Licence
* Completed First Aid and CPR Certificate
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
* NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate - 'Quality, Safety & You'
* Current Working with Children Check Victoria for paid employment
