What You Will Do:
* Analyse large-scale administrative datasets using advanced coding skills to support an extensive research program.
* Conduct sophisticated quantitative research and high-level economic and labour market analysis.
* Lead project milestones by managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality statistical report inputs and briefing materials.
* Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including academics and economists, to gather intelligence and provide expert advice.
* Build team capability through coaching, providing performance feedback, and mentoring other team members.
What You Need to Apply for This Role:
* Essential Post-Graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Economics, Econometrics, or Data Science.
* Expertise in R or Python coding, along with experience using GitHub, Azure (Databricks/Datalake), and Posit.
* Advanced technical knowledge in labour market analysis, economic modeling, and Bayesian inference.
* Proven experience with Australian Government datasets (such as PLIDA) and multilevel modelling frameworks.
* Strong understanding of data infrastructure, including metadata, data standards, and data requirements.
