Audit Senior
Our boutique accounting firm requires a full-time senior auditor looking for the opportunity to grow within a supportive team environment. Our firm has clients and jobs across a range of areas including international taxation matters, individual tax returns through to large private groups. Our firm operates from 2 locations being Brisbane City and Upper Mt Gravatt and we are flexible in terms of which office the role would operate from. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, hard-working person.
Duties
* Attending client premises to undertake audit;
* Preparation of audit files, preparation and printing of audit program and workpapers if required;
* examining company accounts and financial control systems;
* gauging levels of financial risk within organisations;
* checking that financial reports and records are accurate and reliable;
* ensuring that assets are safeguarded;
* identifying if and where processes are not working as they should and advising on changes to be made;
* preparing reports, commentaries and financial statements;
* liaising with managerial staff and presenting findings and recommendations;
* ensuring procedures, policies, legislation and regulations are correctly followed and complied with;
* undertaking reviews of wages, superannuation, payroll tax, etc;
* preparation of financial statements, cash flows and special reporting to Australian Securities and Investments Commission, Office of Fair Trading; and
* preparing client management letters for issues noted during the audit;
* Attend to superannuation audits as instructed and allocated;
* Attend to all client emails in a confidential manner and all current client liaisons are to be via the Audit Senior.
About You
* Will have commenced or completed your CPA or CA course
* 3+ years in Australian public practice
* Good speaking and writing skills
