Plumbing Inspector Job Opportunity
About the role
This is a challenging and rewarding position within our team where you will play a key part in ensuring that plumbing, drainage, and on-site sewerage functions meet regulatory requirements.
You will work closely with various stakeholders including residents, plumbers, builders, and developers to promote compliance and resolve issues efficiently.
* Negotiate effectively with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of matters.
* Prepare and deliver clear advice to internal and external stakeholders regarding program functions.
* Provide timely correspondence to stakeholders and maintain accurate record keeping.
* Conduct site inspections for onsite sewerage facilities and audit owners' scheduled maintenance programs.
* Audit onsite sewerage facilities, backflow prevention devices, and regulated Plumbing and drainage works as required.
* Perform compliance inspections in accordance with governing legislation and Council procedures.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A Queensland plumbers and drainers license.
* License endorsements which could include backflow prevention, thermostatic mixing valves, solar heat pump, onsite sewerage facility maintenance.
* Specialist skills and experience in plumbing and drainage installations or assessment or hold a QBCC license as a hydraulic designer requiring qualifications equivalent to Diploma of Engineering (Construction Hydraulics) with significant experience.
* A current Queensland 'C' class driver's licence.
