About the role
Eastern Health's Mental Health and Wellbeing Program is a leader in care delivery, improvement, research and education. We are the main provider of whole-of-life mental health treatment and support to people living in Melbourne's eastern region, including community-based services, inpatient, and in-reach support.
Following significant investment across the whole of the mental health sector precipitated by the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health Services, the Mental Health and Wellbeing Program is undergoing a major transformation, developing new models of care and expanding the way we work to better support our community. The Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health Services Final Report contains recommendations, putting consumers, carers and their families at the focus of implementations.
The recommendations establish a new Mental Health and Wellbeing system that involves the full continuum of effort from prevention and promotion through to supporting those who require ongoing and intensive support. Implementation of the recommendations requires significant practice and capability change and a coordinated approach to the adoption of cultural change across the Mental Health and Wellbeing Program.
The Change and Communication Manager, Mental Health and Wellbeing, in partnership with People and Culture Directorate, will work closely with the Mental Health and Wellbeing Program Leadership team and Project Director, Royal Commission to
Ensure the implementation of the Royal Commission recommendations is supported by regular, informative and engaging change management and communications.
Establish and implement a fit for purpose Change Management methodology, capability and tools/resources.
Develop and implement communication strategy/plan for both internal and external stakeholders
Provide Change management expertise and advise to critical and complex reform changes in the mental health program and enterprise wide projects
Support the Mental Health Program leadership team to maximize employee adoption
Ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach and adoption of the required cultural changes
Measure the effectiveness and impact of the change methodology.
About you
**To be successful in this role you will possess**:
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources/Organisational Development/Communication or in a related discipline.
Change management certification in one or more tools/methodologies experience
Demonstrated human resource management knowledge in several domains of the employment lifecycle: with depth of expertise in Change Management
Experience working in project communications in larger organisations with diverse stakeholders and partners, preferably aligned with health
Experience in the design, development and implementation of an enterprise wide change management methodology
Navigated challenging conversations with diplomacy and tact with senior leaders and peers
Implemented change and sustained change over a long period of time
Project managed a large project in an end to end capacity (including a change and communications plan) that has resulted in positive business outcomes
Proactively has identified issues, through robust analysis and has recommended and implemented solutions to close identified gaps.
Prepared excellent verbal and written communications for a variety of audiences to ensure a high level of credibility, rapport and influence across the organisation.
