Join VisitCanberra's dynamic marketing team and help shape the future of tourism in the ACT. As Senior Campaign Marketing Officer, you'll lead the development and delivery of strategic destination marketing campaigns that inspire travel and drive economic growth. You'll work across advertising, digital and content channels to reach interstate and international audiences, while managing creative and media agencies to bring campaigns to life.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll apply your marketing expertise to support major events, tourism initiatives and brand partnerships, while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. Eligibility/Other Requirements
The following capabilities form the criteria that are required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Professional/Technical Skills and Knowledge
* Demonstrated ability in designing and implementing marketing campaigns at the local and national level.
* Demonstrated experience in effectively managing brand, creative, digital, media buying/planning and/or public relations agencies.
* Demonstrated superior written and interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor communication to a diverse audience and to meet awareness raising, conversion and sales requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
Behavioural Capabilities
* A history of developing productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve results, including a demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential issues with integrity.
* A record of proactive contribution to improving business results through innovative approaches.
* Success in participating in a workplace where people are encouraged to improve business results through enhanced organisational culture.
Essential
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in Marketing and Advertising and/or related discipline
* Flexible work hours and some interstate travel
Desirable
* A qualification in marketing, public relations or related discipline is highly desirable
* Current Australian driver's license
Notes:
This is a temporary position available from 5 January 2026 for a period of 12 months with the possibility of permanency. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
