Electric Motor Power Pty Ltd is a unique organisation within Australia, designing and producing custom‑made DC motors for clients across a wide variety of sectors, including industrial, agricultural, marine, pumps, and many others.
We are an Australian owned and operated family business with strong family values and an inclusive team environment. In operation since 1989, we understand that our staff are the lifeblood of our business, with an average tenure of over 10 years.
Located in Bayswater, we are looking to expand our operations and hire additional staff in full‑time, permanent positions.
We offer an immediate start, with work hours of Monday‑Thursday 8 a.m.‑4:30 p.m. & Friday 8 a.m.‑1 p.m.
About the Role
The successful applicant's key duties will include the assembly and testing of DC motors with suitable controllers. You will arrange appropriate connections and programme various controllers, following controller instruction manuals and other written instructions. You will also liaise with clients to discuss specific project control requirements and write customised instructions for custom configuration projects.
Duties (including but not limited to)
* Setting up encoders at the rear of the motors
* Connecting motors and controllers
* Dynamometer testing
* Soldering wires on plugs on inter‑connecting looms between motor & controller
* Modifying simple controllers to perform different control tasks
* Preparing customer orders by working closely with office and other production staff to ensure orders are on time and complete
* Identifying suitable controller selection and set‑up based on client project parameters provided
* Completing jobs on time and to required quality standards
* Complying with all health and safety requirements

* Interest and understanding of electric motors (preferred but not essential)
* Previous experience in the electric motor manufacturing industry (preferred but not essential)
* Knowledge of C++ (advantage but not essential)
