Diagnostic Imaging Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a vital member of our academic medicine department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic services to our patients.
Our department offers a wide range of specialties, including ophthalmic diagnostics, which involves examining the eye for abnormalities and conducting tests to assess vision and eye health. You will work alongside expert physicians and staff to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough examinations of patients' eyes to identify any abnormalities or potential issues.
* Operate various pieces of equipment, such as ultrasound machines and OCT scanners, to capture detailed images of the eye.
* Measure intraocular pressure, axial length, and other key metrics to aid in diagnosis.
* Test patients' vision, including far acuity, near acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color perception.
* Document patient histories, test results, and provide instructions on eye care.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostic techniques and equipment.
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
* Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
* Basic life support certification and willingness to obtain advanced certifications as needed.
