- **Location - Hunter and Newcastle area**:

- **Employment type - 7 Positions, Full time, Temporary (12+ month contracts/ immediate start)**:

- **Salary - Clerk Grade 2/4, Salary ($70,151 - $81,158), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading**:

- **We are also looking to develop a talent pool for Client Service Officers which may become available in the next 18 months for both ongoing and temporary opportunities.**

**Your role**

Client Service Officers are the public face of our business, providing critical services and quality advice to clients including those with complex support needs.

As a Client Service Officer, you will have a strong client focus and a commitment to culturally sensitive customer service. You will be passionate about making a difference and delivering innovative solutions for people experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless. You will be flexible, willing to work at times that support engagement with people experiencing homelessness and be committed to delivering better outcomes for clients.

You will be working directly with a range of support services and clients in their home, as well as in the community, delivering a range of housing assistance options that are tailored to meet the needs of our clients.

This is a highly valued role within our agency. There will be something new to accomplish every day working with a range of social housing tenants and applicants and their advocates in a solution focused environment.

What you can expect in the role:

- You will be part of a team committed to delivering good customer service and client centred outcomes.
- You will work directly with clients with complex support needs or cultural sensitivities, both in the office, in client homes and on site with local Specialist Homelessness Services in the community.
- You will develop networks with other human service agencies in order to assist clients establish or maintain social housing tenancies.
- You may be asked to complete a Health Declaration Form in the later stages of the assessment process

**Essential Requirements**
- Possession of a minimum Provisional 2 NSW Driver's Licence and a willingness to travel to and work with clients in their home (a corporate vehicle will be provided for travel between office and clients home).

**It is an essential requirement of the role that successful applicants are fully vaccinated and able to provide acceptable proof of vaccination status.**

**What we're looking for**
- Experience working directly with complex or vulnerable clients within the community
- Ability to work independently and manage your own work. Including working both independently and within a team environment
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- A commitment to a culture of team work, excellence and continuous improvement
- Client service skills with an empathic approach to clients
- A strong commitment to customer service and client-centred decisions
- Experience providing services to clients with complex support needs in a high work volume environment
- The ability to adapt communication styles and client service delivery to suit different situations
- Cert IV in Social Housing, Cert IV in Community Services or similar
