About the role
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton are currently seeking applications from enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join our Rehabilitation Ward on a permanent part-time basis of 32 hours per week.

Our 136‑bed hospital feels like home, with five operating theatres, private emergency services, and a broad range of specialised care right here to support the health and wellbeing of those who live in and around Rockhampton.
You will become an integral part of the team that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those you care for, while making a positive contribution to the overall standard of care delivered by the unit. You will join a team of highly skilled multidisciplinary professionals, and your enthusiasm and dedication for nursing will be highly valued within a supportive and professional environment.
- Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
- You will provide technical assistance during procedures, ensuring excellent standards of nursing care at all times.
- Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
- Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
- Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
About you

Other skills and experience include:
- Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
- Demonstrated rehabilitation nursing experience (Desired)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with all levels of the multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision‑making skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is always delivered to patients at all times.
