UGL are seeking Expressions of Interest for a Permit to Work Coordinator to join our team for an exciting Greenfields construction project in Western Australia.
The project will commence in January **** and will run for approximately 18 months, with possibility of extension.
You will need to have demonstrated experience working in a similar role, within an O G Brownfields or Greenfields environment.
This will be a FIFO role working a ***** roster with a point of hire of Perth.
As a Permit Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe execution of construction activities by managing the permit issuance process and promoting a culture of safety on-site.
Permit Management: Oversee and manage the entire permit to work process, including application, approval, and closure.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company safety policies.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and safety officers to streamline the permit issuance process.
Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments for each work permit application.
Work closely with the project team to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
Regularly review and update risk assessments based on evolving project conditions.
Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate communication between different stakeholders involved in the permit to work process.
Coordinate with various departments, contractors, and the client to ensure smooth workflow and compliance.
Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all permits issued and their status.
Generate regular reports on permit activity, safety incidents, and compliance metrics.
Ensure that all relevant documentation is readily available for audits and inspections.
Qualifications: Previous experience as a Permit Coordinator in a construction environment.
In-depth knowledge of safety regulations in Brownfields or Greenfields construction projects.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
