Salary of $74,783 to $80,835 pa pro rata. Starting salary negotiable within range subject to experience in a similar role. Annual salary increases within this range in accordance with the Tasmanian State Service Award and Public Service Union Wages Agreement.

Working Environment
Tasmania Prison Service (TPS) has prison facilities located at Risdon Vale, Hobart and Launceston in Tasmania. This position is based at Risdon Vale. The Risdon Vale site offers a corporate working environment without the hustle and bustle of city centre offices, free on-site parking and access to the on-site staff gym (or head across the road to Risdon Brook Dam for a walk at lunch time).
Duties
* Forecast and manage daily staff redeployments and scheduling for the Tasmania Prison Service, utilising rostering software.
* Ensure accurate administration of rostering and overtime allowances in accordance with the Rostering and Overtime Policy and the Correctional Officers Agreement (COA).
* Manage and administer staff shift swaps, training and workers’ compensation plans in alignment with organisational policies, and as directed by other outputs.
* Ensure timely submission of staff meal allowances and recreational leave requests following delegate approval.
* Interpret and apply legislation, industrial awards and agreements and other relevant frameworks relating to daily staff scheduling and fatigue management.
* Provide guidance and support to less experienced staff to uphold established processes and policies.
* Provide assistance to the members of the TPS Rostering and Absence Management Unit, as directed by the Principal Consultant – Leave and Absence Management.
