Managers & Admin Officers Grade 1A (HS1A), $27.75 per hour (excluding allowances)

We are looking for a motivated, experienced and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Ward Clerk in the Maternity & Gynaecology Unit. This role requires a strong focus on patient liaison and reception support to the Maternity & Gynaecology team. The position will include a range of computer work including data entry and electronic diary and patient management, reception duties and clerical duties as assigned, and filing, report generation and distribution.
Our preferred candidate will have:
* Sound knowledge of office procedures and reception skills
* Highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills
* Keyboard skills and data entry experience
* Solid computer skills, with proficiency in the usage of Microsoft Office products.
* Experienced in the use of IPM, Oracle and hospital database systems.
* Capacity to undertake training in new patient management programs
* Capability to work independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to confidentiality requirements of the organisation
* Experience in the use of VINAH would be considered advantageous.
IMPORTANT:Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

A 23.6-hectare site at Lardners Track in Drouin East was acquired by West Gippsland Healthcare Group for a future hospital back in 2007. The new hospital is set to feature 233-beds and 33 emergency department treatment spaces as well as aged care and an expanded maternity facility.
